Research

  • As an educational scientist I belong to the research group called Lifelong Learning in Health Care Contexts (LLiHCC) which is led by Professor Terese Stenfors.
My research is focusing on the environment in which students learn and teachers work, and how educational stakeholders in different health care professions perceive and experience their educational environment and how we can develop educational environments that are apt for different healthcare professional trainings. More specifically, regarding the meaning of educational environments at large – how can we understand the inner dynamic of educational environments and better understand the different facets of educational environment to be able to support the development of sustainable high quality learning environments.
I have a mixed-method approach to my research, employing methods deriving from both the quantitative and qualitative research tradition.
As a scholar I have also a strong interest in research in musculoskeletal health with a focus on treatment and prevention.
I am Member of Editorial Board of the Journal of Chiropractic Education.
My present peer reviewer commissions are: Academic Medicine, Medical Education, Advances in Health Sciences Education, BMC Medical Education, Perspectives on Medical Education, Teaching and Learning in Medicine, Nursing Open, Chiropractic & Manual Therapies, Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, European Journal of Physiotherapy, Journal of Chiropractic Education, International Journal of Medical Education, Journal of Chiropractic Humanities, Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development and Journal of Chiropractic Medicine.
