AKTUELLT

Time for your half-time review?

Rules and regulations regarding the half-time review have been revised and some changes will apply from 1 January 2020. Read more on the staff portal.

New salaries for doctoral students

As of 1 November 2019, there is a new salary ladder for doctoral students on a doctoral studentship (”doktorandanställning”).

The minimum levels for the support of doctoral students on scholarships are adjusted in agreement with the new salary ladder (exceptions may occur this year for CSC-scholarships) .

In this year's salary revision, the parties have chosen to use the entire salary amount from month 25 of the doctoral education. There is thus no change in the starting salary for doctoral students. The reason is that the parties have noted that KI's doctoral students are losing salary during the doctoral education compared to doctoral students at other universities.

Introduction to doctoral education

All doctoral students have to participate in an introduction to doctoral education at KI within the first year after admission. The doctoral students have to register to the introduction themselves.

More information about the introduction and registration
