Konsekvenser av COVID-19-pandemin på KI:s forskarutbildning

Informationen avseende konsekvenser av COVID-19-pandemin på KI:s forskarutbildning på medarbetarportalen uppdateras löpande.

Även under höstterminen kommer teoretiska forskarutbildningskurser att genomföras på distans, med några få undantag, medan praktiska kurser/kursmoment är prioriterade att genomföras i KI:s lokaler.

Avseende disputationer gäller, tills annat meddelas, att doktorand, opponent, betygsnämnd, handledare och disputationsordförande kan delta på distans efter kontakt med KI:s disputationskommitté och att disputationer ska tillgängliggöras via webbsändningar.

 

Utlysning av forskar-AT-medel

Forskar-AT är en möjlighet att få finansierad forskningstid under AT-utbildningen. Forskar-AT kan sökas både av doktorander på KI och av disputerade som har en aktiv forskningsverksamhet vid KI.

Utlysningsperiod för höstens utlysning är preliminärt: 27 augusti – 10 september 2020.

Ansök till forskarskolan i allmänvetenskap för kliniker HT20/VT21

Forskarskolan är kliniskt inriktad och vänder sig till nyantagna doktorander vid KI som är verksamma inom en vårdenhet inom Region Stockholm (olika yrkesgrupper). Ansvarig institution är Institutionen för klinisk forskning och utbildning, Södersjukhuset.

Ansök senast den 30 juni

 

Resebidrag för doktorander

Ansök om resebidrag mellan 11 augusti kl. 10.00 och 25 augusti kl. 14.00:

KI resebidrag 2020, period 3 (avser resor med utresedatum mellan 1 oktober 2020 och 30 juni 2021)

Axel Hirsch resebidrag för kirurger 2020, period 3 (avser resor med utresedatum mellan 1 oktober 2020 och 30 juni 2021)

Ansök om resebidrag mellan 1 september kl. 10.00 och 15 september kl. 14.00:

KI:s resebidrag för forskningsvistelse för doktorander vid lärosäte eller forskningsinstitution inom eller utanför Sverige (avser resor under perioden november 2020 – december 2021)

Hirsch fellowship för en längre resa för att t.ex. lära sig en ny metod (avser resor med utresedatum mellan 1 januari – 31 december 2021)

 

KI:s tematiska forskarutbildningsprogram

KI:s tematiska forskarutbildningsprogram erbjuder ett övergripande utbud av kurser och lärandeaktiviteter för doktorander inom olika forskningsområden:

Allergi, immunologi och inflammation
Cellbiologi och genetik
Epidemiologi
Folkhälsovetenskap
Infektionsbiologi och global hälsa
Kardiovaskulär forskning
Metabolism och endokrinologi
Neurovetenskap
Tumörbiologi och onkologi
Utveckling och regeneration
Vårdvetenskap

Doktorander kan när som helst anmäla sitt intresse för ett program för att få information om kurser och aktiviteter inom forskningsområdet.

 

Ladok-rapportering för forskarutbildning inför rapportering till SCB

Ladok-administratörerna på institutionerna ska senast tisdag den 30 juni ha lagt in fullständiga uppgifter i Ladok, inklusive behörighetsgivande bakgrund, för doktorander antagna under första halvåret 2020. Även uppgifter om definitiv studieaktivitet och -finansiering för institutionens alla doktorander ska vara inlagda i Ladok. Tänk på att det även gäller för dem som disputerat/avlagt licentiatexamen under första halvåret 2020.

Doctoral education and mental health 

The pressure and stress experienced by doctoral students puts them at high risk for mental-health issues. The DSA would like to draw a roadmap that will help those in need, while also creating an environment in which doctoral students can thrive. Give the DSA your input by sharing your experience through this survey. It only takes 8 minutes and will provide the DSA and KI with useful insights in to how to make improvements. Kindly respond by 7 September, 2020. To get a full picture of the situation of the doctoral students at KI, it is essential for you to respond!

Consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on KI’s doctoral education

Information regarding consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on KI’s doctoral education on the staff portal is updated continuously.

During the autumn semester theoretical doctoral courses will be given online, with a few exceptions, while practical courses/course modules are prioritized to be held at campus.

Regarding public defences the following applies until further notice: The doctoral student, opponent, examination board, supervisor and defence chairperson can participate online after informing the Dissertation committee, and the public defence must be accessible to the public via web casts.

 

Announcement of "forskar-AT-medel"

”Forskar-AT” is a programme for financing research during your AT-training. Both doctoral students at KI and PhDs that perform research at KI may apply.

Preliminary dates for the announcement autumn 2020: 27 August – 10 September 2020.

Apply to the Research school in general science for clinicians HT20 / VT21

The research school is clinically oriented and is aimed at recently admitted doctoral students at KI who are working for Stockholm County Council (various professional groups). The responsible department is Department of clinical science and education, Södersjukhuset.

Deadline for applications: 30 June 2020

 

Travel grants for doctoral students

Apply for travel grants between 11 Augst at 10 a.m. and 25 August at 2 p.m.:

KI travel grant 2020, period 3 (for travel with departure date between 1 October 2020 and 30 June 2021)

Axel Hirsch travel grant for surgeons 2020, period 3 (for travel with departure date between 1 October 2020 and 30 June 2021)

Apply for travel grants between 1 September at 10 a.m. and 15 September at 2 p.m.:

KI’s travel grants for research visits for doctoral students at a university or research institution inside or outside Sweden (for travel during the period November 2020 – December 2021)

Hirsch fellowship for a longer travel for example with the purpose of learning a new method (for travel during the period 1 January – 31 December 2021)

 

KI’s thematic doctoral programmes

KI offers a number of thematic doctoral education programmes comprising an overarching range of courses and learning activities in different research fields:

Ladok-registration for doctoral education prior to reporting to Statistics Sweden

The departmental Ladok administrators shall before 30 June register data in Ladok for all doctoral students admitted during the last 6 months of 2020, including grounds for eligibility, as well as the activity and financing for all doctoral students. This also applies to those that have defended their doctoral or licentiate thesis during the first 6 months of 2020.
