A moment with Kristina Edström,
Director of BATTERY 2030+

BATTERY 2030+ is still moving along despite the strange period we are now experiencing due to the coronavirus.

Our long-term research roadmap was recently launched. We strongly believe that the aims and goals set out in this document are essential for Europe to speed up the development and deployment of technologies for clean-energy solutions, which will enable a green recovery after the pandemic.

The 25-26 May our web-based conference “European perspectives on batteries of the future” will take place. At this first online conference under this heading the partners of BATTERY 2030+ will present a selection of European research related to the BATTERY 2030+ roadmap (see below for more information). We have a very interesting program and I hope you will join us online!

Another planned event that has shifted to a web-based concept is the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) the 22-26 June. Here, BATTERY 2030+ will arrange a web-based seminar – Sustainable Batteries: an ally for the Green Recovery – together with Batteries Europe. More information about this event will be available on our website shortly.

We hope that the winners of the calls LC-BAT-12,13,14 and 15-2020 will become public very soon. We will continue to keep you posted about the BATTERY 2030+ initiative and the need for a long-term research approach, building a knowledge foundation for the present and the future.

Thank you for supporting the BATTERY 2030+ initiative and being a part of our battery community!
