UD avråder från alla resor till Hubei-provinsen. Vidare avråder UD från icke nödvändiga resor till övriga delar av Kina, med undantag för Hongkong och Macao. Universitetsledningen följer händelseutvecklingen noga och medarbetare och studenter uppmanas att följa rekommendationerna från ansvariga myndigheter. STINT lanserar ett dokument om ansvarsfull internationalisering tillsammans med Lunds universitet, KI och KTH

STINT har tillsammans med Lunds universitet, Karolinska Institutet och KTH tagit fram ett dokument om ansvarsfull internationalisering. Arbetet har skett mot bakgrund av en allt mer intensiv diskussion kring viktiga överväganden i internationellt samarbete i förhållande till lärosäten i andra länder. Läs mer på STINTs sida. Informationsträff den 2 mars inför ansökningsomgång Linnaeus-Palme partnerskap 2020

Det Sida-finansierade Linnaeus-Palme (LP) partnerskap är ett utbytesprogram för lärare och studenter på högskolans grundnivå och avancerad nivå med syfte att bygga långsiktiga samarbeten med lärosäten i låg- och medelinkomstländer. Universitets- och högskolerådet har nyligen publicerat ett särskilt nyhetsbrev med LP-fokus som ger mer information om programmet och vad som gäller för kommande partnerskapsansökan. Vad gäller för Erasmus+ efter Brexit?

Enligt EU-kommissionen kommer Storbritannien betraktas som Erasmus+ programland till och med att projekten från utlysningen 2020 är genomförda. Det innebär att KI kan fortsätta skicka och ta emot studenter och lärare från Storbritannien precis som vanligt till och med utlysningen 2020. Mer information finns på UHR.se och Utbyten.se. The Working Group for Internationalisation under the Committee for Higher Education announces a position for a project manager. The project is about international mobility and how to better utilize teachers' and students' international experiences. Information about the corona virus for staff and students

The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs changed their travel recommendations and now advise against all travels to the Hubei province in China, the region hardest hit by the new corona virus outbreak. The ministry also advises against non-essential travels to China except for Hongkong and Macao. Staff members and students should follow the recommendations of the responsible authorities. KI in collaboration for guidelines on responsible internationalisation

The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) has together with Lund University, KI and KTH produced a document on responsible internationalisation. The work has been conducted in the light of an increasingly intense discussion on important considerations in international cooperation in relation to educational institutions in other countries. What does internationalisation mean to a course administrator?

Information meeting on 2 March for Linnaeus-Palme Partnership 2020

The Sida-funded Linnaeus-Palme (LP) partnership is an exchange programme for teachers and students with the aim of building long-term collaborations with higher education institutions in low- and middle-income countries. The Swedish Council for Higher Education recently published a special newsletter (in Swedish) with an LP focus that provides more information about the programme and the upcoming application. The International Office invites you to an information meeting on 2 March at 16:30. Read more and register in KI's calendar (in Swedish).

What applies for Erasmus+ after Brexit?

According to the European Commission, the UK will be regarded as an Erasmus+ programme country until the projects from call 2020 is completed. This means that KI can continue to send and receive students and teachers from the UK as before until 31 May 2022. More information can be found at in Swedish at UHR.se and Utbyten.se. If you have questions about agreements and collaborations, you are welcome to contact the international coordinators at the International Relations Office.

Reminder: Nominate your candidate for the Prize for Internationalisation 2020

In University World News Hanne Kirstine Adriansen, associate professor at Aarhus University, addresses the complexity of inequality in internationalisation of higher education from different geographical aspects ("geographies"). Adriansen highlights international mobility, the concept of "international student" and language and curriculum, and also refers to an upcoming research project, "Geographies of Internationalisation", where she and her group will study these and other aspects in more detail.

The Global Health Starter Kit is a free, openly available, competency-based ‘starter’ curriculum for educators and trainees who are working toward unified standards for global oral health education to address the burden of oral diseases worldwide and their consequences. The webinar was recorded in November 2019 by the Consortium of Universities for Global Health.
