KIs studieavgiftsverksamhet 2020 har gjort bokslut

Varje år sammanställs det en Årsrapport gällande studieavgiftsverksamheten på KI. För året 2020 kan det konstateras att antalet internationella studenter utanför EU/EES ökar trots pandemin. Mer än 100 studenter, från fler än 70 länder utanför EU/EES registrerades på KI:s Globala Program! I snitt hade KI:s program 496 sökande per program, vilket gör KI:s program till de mest populära internationalla program i Sverige! Rapporten redovisar allt från rekryteringsinsatser till kvalitetshöjande åtgärder som möjliggörs tack vare studieavgifterna. Grants for Teaching Sabbaticals 2021 är nu öppet

Genom att ge svenska forskare och lärare relevanta internationella erfarenheter vill Stiftelsen för internationalisering av högre utbildning och forskning (STINT) bidra till förnyelse i undervisningen och nya nätverk. Sökande till stipendiet ska vara disputerad och anställd av ett svenskt lärosäte. Sökande är själv ansvarig för att hitta lämplig värd vid utländskt lärosäte, och endast vistelser utanför EU/EFTA ingår i programmet. Sista ansökningsdag är 17 mars 2021 kl.15:00. EU storsatsar på utbildningsområdet

Budgeten för Erasmus+ ökar med nära 80 procent i EU:s satsning på personlig, social och yrkesinriktad utveckling för 10 miljoner européer, från knappt 15 miljarder euro under förra programperioden 2014-2020 till drygt 26 miljarder euro under perioden 2021–2027. Programmet kommer att vara mer inkluderande och mer innovativt, med fokus på digitalisering och hållbarhet. Läs mer på Universitets och högskolerådets sida.

Terminsavgifter och studiestöd för högre utbildning – europeisk jämförelse

I vilka europeiska länder är det gratis att studera på högskolan? Vilka länder har högst terminsavgifter? Vilket ekonomiskt stöd erbjuds studenter och har alla samma rätt till stöd? Varje år presenterar Eurydikenätverket en rapport som beskriver och jämför de olika regler för avgifter och studiestöd som finns i Europa. UHR presenterar rapporten och länkar till den på sin webb.

Internationalisation Update är ett nyhetsbrev som i första hand vänder sig till de som arbetar med internationalisering inom utbildning vid Karolinska Institutet. Nyhetsbrevet utkommer cirka en gång i månaden under terminstid.

KI's NeurotechEU assignments filled

Now the three internal positions for KI's part within NeurotechEU - The European University of Brain and Technology have been filled. André Fishan, was appointed scientific coordinator for the work package focusing on Neurotech2040 that is KI’s responsibility within the alliance. The project leaders for the central team at KI are Ylva Olsson and Maria Olsson, International Office. NeurotechEU is part of the EU's three-year pilot initiative for European Universities and is one of 41 alliances that have been granted funding for their cooperation. Read more at news.ki.se

KI's tuition fee operations closing the accounts for 2020

The tuition fee based organization at KI is compiling an Annual Report every year. For the year 2020, it can be highlighted that the number of international students outside the EU/EEA is increasing despite the pandemic. More than 100 students, from more than 70 countries outside the EU / EEA, were registered at KI's Global Programme! On average, KI's programs had 496 applicants per program, which makes KI's programs the most popular international programs in Sweden! The Annual Report, covers everything from recruitment efforts to quality improving activities at the programmes, which are made possible thanks to tuition fees. The Annual Report can be found on the page for the working group for internationalisation, which is responsible for tuition fee operations.

Grants for Teaching Sabbaticals 2021 is now open

By providing Swedish researchers and teachers with relevant international experience, the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) wants to contribute to renewal in teaching and to creation of new networks. Applicants for the scholarship must hold a PhD and be employed by a Swedish higher education institution (HEI). Applicants are responsible for finding a suitable host at a foreign HEI, and only stays outside the EU/EFTA are included in the programme. The application deadline is March 17, 2021 at 15:00. The EU is investing heavily in education

Every year, the Eurydice network presents a report that describes and compares the different rules and regulations for fees and student aid in Europe. Predictions for higher education worldwide for 2021

Marguerite Dennis, American expert in international student recruitment and retention, looks both backwards and forwards in and a recent article on trends in higher education in University World News. Marguerite means that it would be simplistic to blame the predictions on the pandemic. Many of the predictions were already trending according to her. COVID-19 accelerated, but did not cause, many of the changes and disruptions higher education is likely to experience in 2021 and beyond.
