The European Football Championship is under way and the summer heat is here and at Eskilstuna Logistik och Etablering, we want to wish our fantastic, important network a really pleasant summer.
Within the company, we have had an extremely positive first half of the year and have made very good progress. I would say that the highlight has been the new establishment of the Chinese company, Senior Technology Material, which is now building one of Europe's largest production facilities for separator film for lithium-ion batteries in Eskilstuna. This is an industry of the future, which is creating a lot of important new jobs locally.
We have continued to see a strong sales and establishment pipeline, with a large number of companies in various industries, and we are looking forward to an exciting autumn in which we gradually getting closer to new deals.
For Eskilstuna Intermodal Terminal, we are seeing steady progress and future growth in intermodal sustainable logistics solutions. This is partly through organic growth in the existing flows and partly through new set-ups such as Containerships from the Port of Helsingborg.
Our airport has continued to be an emergency airport and has therefore fulfilled an important function in the time of the pandemic.
One very important component of sustainable business is supply of competence and, through an excellent collaboration with Eskilstuna Fabriksförening and others, a new vocational college training program in automation and logistics is now being established and will start as early as this autumn in order to meet companies' future competence needs.
To follow us and the developments in Eskilstuna and therefore be constantly up to date on Eskilstuna Logistik och Etablering, follow us on LinkedIn.
Speaking of batteries, we will now make sure to charge our own batteries so we have plenty of energy for the autumn, which continues to look extremely bright from the Eskilstuna horizon!
All the best!
