TOGETHER FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF PURPOSEFUL TECH AND BUSINESS

International world class researchers and speakers made the conference Digitalize in Stockholm a success and together with the inauguration of the Senseable Stockholm Lab’s new premises at KTH – the last few weeks has given us great opportunities to get new insights and to form new research projects. And we continue to gather the research and development community in Kista the first Tuesday of every month for Tech Tuesdays, and now also AI breakfasts every second Friday.
Kista Science City is home to some of Sweden’s most prominent researchers in cyber security as we host the Department of Computer Science (SU), RISE Cyber range and FOI (Swedish Defence Research Agency). At Kista Science City we are now, together with Södertälje Science Park, starting a project with the aim to bring the expertise and knowledge of the experts to small and middle-sized companies. We're excited to follow Mats through space! The Mats (Mesospheric Airglow/Aerosol Tomography and Spectroscopy) satellite is a Swedish satellite, based on a platform developed by OHB Sweden. Kisab, Kiselkarbid i Stockholm AB, has developed a new manufacturing process that provides almost flawless silicon carbide substrates with a pilot project running the Electrum laboratory. Kisab recently raised 82 MSEK in an investment

DIGITALIZE IN STHLM '22
Designing human friendly AI, ethics and integrity, and the importance of combining knowledge and experience from different stakeholders. This was some of the topics at last week's Digitalize in Stockholm. A two-day hybrid event gathering academia, industry and public sector from 26 countries, arranged by Digital Futures and hosted by Stockholm University, Department of Computer and Systems Sciences.

SEEING AROUND CORNERS WITH 5G RIDE
The 5G RIDE Demo Day on October 13 gathered more than 50 special invited guests who got a sneak preview of the latest technology updates & hands on experience on how smart sensors, on vehicles and in the surrounding infrastructure, makes it possible for a vehicle to see through obstacles and around corners.

SAFE DIGITALISATION FOR SME
In Kista, and Stockholm, there is leading expertise in cybersecurity among authorities, academia, institutes, and companies - but this knowledge does not always reach all the way to small and medium-sized companies sufficiently. Together with Södertälje Science Park, we are starting up a new project that aims to increase awareness of safety issues and ensure that SMEs also benefit from existing knowledge. During the winter we will organize competence seminars and launch a pilot project to support SME in their digital journey.
