Logga för CORDEX - Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment

Take the chance to host a workshop, training, brainstorming, round-table discussion at the next CORDEX conference, 25-29 September 2023

Do you want to discuss with stakeholders, provide a hands-on training on downscaling tools, start developing a plan for a possible future Flagship Pilot Study proposal or perhaps have a panel or round-table discussion/workshop on the most pressing climate change issues in your region? At the next hybrid CORDEX conference you have an opportunity to do so by proposing a D-session.

We are in the process of setting the program for the next hybrid CORDEX conference which will be held 25-29 September 2023 at ICTP, Trieste, Italy, and IITM in Pune, India as well as online.

In this process we would like to invite you to suggest topics for D-sessions. The D-sessions are more work-shop oriented than the other sessions. To get an idea about the kinds of sessions you can take a look at the D-sessions of the last two CORDEX conferences here;

ICRC-CORDEX 2016

and

ICRC-CORDEX 2019

As the conference this time has a large focus on the provision of CORDEX climate information for regions and its use in society we hope to see proposals related to connecting climate science with solutions and users, for instance on what information is needed for various purposes and how to further facilitate the use of climate information. We will most probably limit the number of sessions to around 6-8. The suggestions will be evaluated by the CORDEX Science Advisory Team and the conference committees.

Please send your suggestions for D-sessions at the latest by 10 November 2022 to ipoc@cordex.org.
