Further investment for the future

The beginning of March saw the arrival of the latest addition to our machinery in Helsingborg. On this occasion it is a machine that can perform various end forming operations on copper and stainless steel pipes.
The force required to form the pipes comes from an electric servo motor that generates 150 kilo-newtons, which equates to more than 15,000 kilos of pressure. An extremely sturdy design and construction is required to enable the machine to withstand this enormous force and direct it towards the actual end forming process, which is why this relatively small machine weighs more than 1,000 kilos.

Initially we have concentrated on solutions that enable us to create a traditional 90 degree flange and, above all else, pipes with hair-pin form for quick-connect coupling. The hair-pin solution is a particularly welcome development for us and our customers, as it will make installations so much simpler and quicker.
The quick-connect coupling solution we have developed will meet the growing trend for quick installations and simple service.

Why quick-connect coupling?

With two O-rings as seals, it becomes a simple and secure process to connect pipes with a valve and locking pin. You get exactly the same assembly every time, which means that you don’t need to think about tightening the fitting with a certain torque to achieve a tight connection.

Further expansion of our product range

Our LK ThermoKit 815 and 816 loading units are now also available with 1 ¼” internal thread.
This supplements our existing 1 ½” and 2” (816) connections.
The ball valve has a rotating nut that is connected directly to the circulation pump and the valve.

Time to start planning your summer requirements!

It might feel like summer is still a long way away, but time passes quickly and we have a full workload in our production department. We therefore wish to give you advance notice that, as usual, we will have limited administrative staffing during the summer, and our production facilities will be closed during the holiday period, from 19 July - 6 August.
Therefore, to enable us to ensure we can meet your requirements, we would ask that you plan your needs and submit your orders now for the deliveries you require during August and September.
