Junior Faculty welcomes you to the KI Discovers series for the spring of 2024. The purpose of the KI Discovers series is to give insight into the latest scientific achievements across a variety of disciplines at Karolinska Institutet by highlighting new outstanding publications. Joint Doctoral Student Symposium co-organized by the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Karolinska Institutet 

The symposium will be held at the MRC LMB in Cambridge (UK) on July 18 and 19. During these two days, world-leading experts will discuss exciting topics such as cell biology, neurobiology, protein and nucleic acid chemistry, and structural biology. Doctoral students can also give a short talk, present their posters, and participate in exciting workshops. Read more on ki.se

Become a Fellow for Gender Equal Career Development (FIELD) Program - Deadline: May 26, 2024

The program aims at you who have completed your PhD since at least two years and have an employment at KI or are adjunct to research and/or education at KI through employment of at least 20 %. You who have a position as associate professor or professor at KI or elsewhere do not have the possibility to participate in the program as a fellow, but you may become a mentor for a small group of fellows. The program runs October 2024 – November 2025. Read more and apply on ki.se.

Santander International Exchange Grants aims to support doctoral students in building international networks and raising their academic profile. Collaborative grant between KI and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin - Deadline: June 10, 2024

Karolinska Institutet and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin have entered into a bilateral agreement. The Internationalisation Board at KI is pleased to announce the availability of limited competitive funds för KI faculty and staff for grant applications to strengthen collaborative interactions within research and education. Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists – celebrating excellent young researchers - Application deadline: July 15, 2024

The prize is awarded yearly to a young scientist who has conducted exceptional research in life sciences and has been granted a doctoral degree. The research topic of the participant's thesis must fall under one of the following categories: cell and molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, systems biology approaches, ecology and environment, or molecular medicine. Eligibility: applicants must have received their PhD between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023. For more information, please visit the Science website.
