Special Highlights
Swedish language courses autumn 2023

Doctoral students and postdocs at KI are offered one complimentary Swedish subcourse. Staff members pay according to the framework agreement. Courses start from September 5 2023. Levels A1, A2 and B1. Read more on ki.se.

STINT International Postdoc

The programme is open to researchers who have obtained their doctorates from Swedish higher education institutions no longer than two years before the application deadline, or who are scheduled to graduate within a year of the application deadline. The Michelson Philanthropies & Science Prize for Immunology

The prize focuses on transformative research in human immunology, with trans-disease applications to accelerate vaccine and immunotherapeutic discovery. Applicants must be no older than thirty-five (35) years of age and must hold an M.D., PhD., or M.D./Ph.D. at the time of entry. Read more on the prize website.

Travel Grants
KI Travel Grant 2023 (period 3) incl digital arrangements
Applications are invited from registered doctoral students admitted at Karolinska Institutet or researchers/visiting researchers working on KI. Priority is given to those who apply for a grant to visit institutions abroad for the purpose of learning new methods and/or working on a collaborative project. The application period opens at 10 am on August 8 and closes 2 pm on August 22.
Axel Hirsch Travel Grant 2023 (period 3)
The applicant must be a registered PhD student or associate researcher/guest researcher at KI and a doctor who have been employed as a Assistant Physician for at least two years at a KI department, including surgical specialties for example hand-, eye-, and jaw surgery or ear-nose-throat. Priority is given to those who have their basic education from KI. Priority is given to those who apply for a grant to visit institutions abroad for the purpose of learning new methods and/or working on a collaborative project. The application period opens at 10 am on August 8 and closes 2 pm on August 22.
