The international news platform The Conversation arranges, in collaboration with the Communications Office at KI, a digital training session for researchers on finding the news potential in your own research and writing for the public.If you are interested, please register via KI’s communications office at the-conversation@ki.se and include a short description of your expertise, what topics you are interested in writing about and contact information.

Special Highlights

#ScienceForUkraine

is a community group of volunteer students and research scientists from academic institutions in Europe and around the globe. Its mission is to collect and disseminate information about support opportunities at the university, national, and international levels for graduate students and researchers directly affiliated with an academic institution in Ukraine. Sharing is caring!

Time to apply for doctoral courses

The course catalogue for the autumn semester of 2022 will be open for application 19 April – 16 May. Eligible applicants are doctoral students, postdocs and other others with a PhD.

Awards

The Lennart Nilsson Award 2022

Nomination should be sent no later than April 13 2022. The Lennart Nilsson foundation was established in 1998 in order to bestow an award in recognition of the world-renowned Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson and his extraordinary body of work. Its main aim is to promote education, training and research within the medical, biological and engineering sciences through the use of images.

KI´s award for innovation och utilization 2022

The prize recognizes one or more researchers/research students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding utilization of research results that have led to innovation. Anyone can nominate one or more candidates. Self-nomination is accepted. The nominations closes on April 26, 2022.

Nature Awards for Inspiring Women in Science

Science Outreach Category and Scientific Achievement Category

Entries must be complete and submitted by 6th May 2022 12:00pm noon UTC 00:00 to be eligible.

NOMIS & Science Young Explorer Award

Recognizes and rewards early-career M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. scientists that perform research at the intersection of the social and life sciences. Deadline for Entries: 15 May 2022.

Science & SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists

An annual prize awarded to early-career scientists. Entrants for the 2022 prize must have received their Ph.D. between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021.

Categories: (i) Cell and Molecular Biology, (ii) Ecology and Environment, (iii) Molecular Medicine, and (iv) Genomics, Proteomics and Systems Biology. Application deadline: July 15, 2022.
