Brief information about our lab and facilities
The BSL3 Lab
Since April, MedH/CIM has been using the BSL3 lab as a BSL2 lab to establish a Covid-19 biobank in collaboration with KI and Karolinska University Hospital/Infectious Disease Clinic. This work is being completed during the summer to allow the lab to open up as a BSL3 activity after the summer. For the opening of the BSL3 lab, there will be a series of tests, including auxiliary power unit tests to ensure that the lab’s functions are working normally. The auxiliary power unit tests are being conducted on 2 July, and there will be a more extensive test performed in the middle of August; more information will be sent separately. BSL3 operations are expected to open on 1 September 2020.
