The Swedish lung congress (Svenska Lungkongressen) is planned to take place in Umeå this year on the 4-6 May, as a hybrid event where hopefully both online and actual participation will be possible.

There are a few spots available on the doctoral course “Psychoneuroimmunology” (click here to apply) that will be held on March 15th to April 1st.


This course aims to provide an overview of present knowledge in Psychoneuroimmunology and to offer an opportunity to apply a interdisciplinary mechanistic perspective across physiological and pathological conditions. Students are given good opportunities to network and to interact with leading national and international researchers in Psychoneuroimmunology.

Type 2 Innovation Grant 2021

Sanofi Genzyme will be providing support for independent, novel and innovative research projects investigating type 2 immune-mediated diseases, such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) or other type 2 immune-mediate diseases with relevance in clinical practice. The ten most relevant projects, 5 in Dermatology and 5 in Respiratory, will receive a one-time research grant of up to EUR 80,000. Apllication platform open until 31st May 2021.

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (RESPIRE)

The European Respiratory Society’s (ERS) RESPIRE fellowship programme offers a platform for early career researchers develop their skills in an international environment and supports fellows on their journey to becoming future leaders in the respiratory field. Application deadline is 1st May, 2021, and open to researchers with a PhD or four years full-time research experience from any discipline.
