Seminar about Family law , this web based seminar will introduce the basics of Swedish International law and there will be examples on the application of law in international circumstances. Be aware of unexpected rules regarding your private life as well as of your work, studies or other aspects of your stay in a new country. All kinds of questions might affect you regarding matters of marriage, divorce, custody and inheritance as well as matters of labour law, residence, citizenship and permits.(This webinar is organized by the University of Uppsala)

“The Swedish migration legislation was changed on 20 July 2021. Among other things, these changes mean that temporary residence permits have become the main rule and there are new requirements for all who apply for a permanent residence permit. There are also changes regarding who is subject to the maintenance requirement when a person applies for a residence permit to move to a close relative in Sweden.”

"On July 20, 2021, the Swedish migration legislation was changed. The changes mean that there are new requirements for all who apply for a permanent residence permit. The new requirements mean that you must be able to support yourself financially through income from employment or your own company. You have to show that you have permanent employment, or fixed-term employment lasting at least 18 months from the date on which your application is examined.
